Vegetable tanning, performed by a renowned tannery in the ‘Golden Basane’ region, preserves the unique characteristics of this high-quality leather. The subtle marks and textures inherent in premium leather make each sofa truly one of a kind.
The backrest is delicately outlined with a trim of hand-applied upholstery nails, following traditional craftsmanship techniques.

This model is remarkably versatile. Its balanced aesthetic is paired with the usefulness of a convertible bed hidden within its frame. In just moments, you can unfold a spacious, comfortable bed with a Bultex mattress resting on wooden slats. The entire system is supported by a metal frame for exceptional durability.
The sofa’s frame is made of solid beechwood, a dense and resilient material known for its strength.
We offer three seating relaxing levels: firm, medium, or soft.
You can choose from eight standard leather shades or request a custom colour based on a sample you provide.
The leather is waxed and patinated by hand, with the bonus tailored to your preferences.

The more you use your bed, the more durable and high quality your mattress needs to be. You’ll often find mattresses on the market labelled “polyurethane foam”, but this is not enough, nor is it a guarantee of quality. In fact, these mattresses are only relatively comfortable and have a limited lifespan.

The mechanics of the convertible bed
The bed’s mechanism is also important. It must be solid and easy to open. Make sure it’s high quality and easy to open. Remember, the sofa bed must be functional and adapt to your daily life, not the other way round. A bed that’s too heavy for you to unfold is a bed you’ll end up not using. In the end, you’ll regret your purchase, so make sure the mechanics are impeccable and solid.
Remember: it’s normal to strain a little when opening a convertible bed, but an adult should be able to unfold it easily.
For our convertible club sofas, we’ve opted for a 3-ply mechanism that inserts into the wooden frame. All our models are equipped with a cozy, 8cm HR polyurethane foam mattress. Only the Hemingway and Grand Carré convertible sofas feature a 13 cm thick mattress, for the most demanding sleepers. All our bed bases are made of wooden slats, far more comfortable and durable than the sprung bases of our ancestors.
Last but not least, our convertible bed systems are based on high-quality mechanics that are easy to open and close on a daily basis.

The leather
Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
The colour and finish
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame
The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
