Vegetable tanning is the oldest method of transforming hides into leather. It relies exclusively on natural tannins extracted from bark, roots and wood (oak, chestnut, mimosa and others).
Unlike fast industrial processes, vegetable tanning takes time. A great deal of time. And it is precisely this time that makes all the difference.
Each hide is slowly infused with these natural tannins, without chromium or harsh chemicals. The leather therefore retains its structure, suppleness and authenticity.
