Basane: a high-end leather
Basane leather is full grain sheep leather. It is a very resistant and robust material, which offers a pleasant touch. The Jules 3 seater Club Sofa is entirely covered with 1.4 to 1.6 mm thick basane leather.
We select all our leathers with the greatest care. They are vegetable tanned and are dyed, patinated and waxed by hand. These operations give it an authentic look.
If other materials used to make a sofa tarnish with time, leather improves with time by taking on a patina appearance.
As for maintenance, you just need to dust it regularly with a chamois or a soft cloth. To moisturize, soften and protect it, simply apply a product specially designed for leather sofas after cleaning it.
