The Art Deco period saw the evolution of the design of Club chairs towards more elaborate lines. Appeared in the 1930s, the Club Moustache chair has the distinction of having a backrest in the form of a brace that is affectionately known as Clemenceau’s mustache, which explains where its name comes from.
The Club Moustache chair is a generously sized model, which offers optimal comfort. The depth of its seat, its wide curved backrest and its rounded armrests offer excellent support to the upper body. Finally, the moustache at the top of the seat provides a recessed area for the head to rest.
Combining comfort and aesthetics, the Club Chair Moustache is one of the most coveted Club Chair models. The distinctive feature of the Club Moustache Chair can add elegance to a room without compromising comfort.
You will certainly appreciate the delicacy of its basane leather upholstery which benefits from a traditional vegetable tanning. The dyeing, the patina and the polishing are done by hand, which allows us to offer you customized finishes. The structure and legs are made of solid beech wood to add to the sturdiness of the chair.

Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is less steep, which makes it easier to get up.
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
