More than just a piece of furniture, the Hemingway child club chair is an exceptional piece of decoration. It takes the same shape as its big brother, the Hemingway club chair, but with dimensions adapted to smaller children.

As well as its pure design, this model has all the comfort that has made the club chair such a legend. The seat, backrest and armrests are padded for comfort and reassurance. The back is tilted slightly backwards to promote a feeling of well-being and relaxation. As for the armrests, they’re raised high enough for the little ones to rest their arms on. It’s a wonderful gift for a child who will appreciate having their own space and being able to imitate the grown-ups!

Part of the charm of this model lies in its covering, basane leather. It’s a noble material that’s particularly soft and pleasant to the touch. Before this small, handcrafted club chair is upholstered, the hide is treated with vegetable tanning. This age-old process respects the raw nature of the hide, but also the environment. Better still, it makes the leather hypoallergenic.

This full-grain sheepskin leather, 1.4 to 1.6 mm thick, is ideal for children. In fact, it’s one of the most supple and resistant leathers available. Your child will be able to play freely on it, and the leather won’t tear. It’s an ideal reading or relaxing companion for young children, who will enjoy owning and using their own seat.

The Hemingway child club chair has been designed with the same attention to detail and the same materials as a traditional club chair. The frame and legs are made from solid beech. This is a particularly robust and durable wood. Before assembling it by hand, we kiln-dry the wood. This way, we can be sure we’re providing you with a product that won’t change with time, use or temperature variations. All features that give it an exceptional lifespan.

The back is fixed with upholsterer’s nails, giving this little club chair a charming vintage design. However, we also offer a piped finish. Soft, medium or firm, you can choose the level of comfort you want for your child. The waxing and patina will be applied entirely by hand by our craftsmen, according to your specifications.

The Hemingway child club chair is available in eight timeless colors: cognac, honey, havana, chocolate, red, black, antique green and English green. We can also create made-to-measure shades, based on a sample of your child’s favourite colour, for example. The Hemingway child club chair is a lifelong companion that will remain part of the family furniture and will be handed down from generation to generation.
