This retro armchair hides a system integrated into the backrest and removable footrests linked to a remote control. You’ll be in complete control of your comfort. The stain, patina and polish will be applied by hand, according to your preferences. Some of our customers like to add a patina by hand. It’s this finish that gives the appearance of beautifully aged leather. On the other hand, others want to let time do its work. While this model includes a modern relaxation system, it is still a purely handcrafted product that respects tradition. For a start, it is upholstered in basane leather. This is full-grain sheep leather, 1.4 to 1.6 mm thick, with a soft satin finish. Our leather craftsman uses vegetable tanning to make it supple and robust. Well maintained, the leather of the Relax Grand Carré club chair will become increasingly beautiful over time. This real jewel of craftsmanship has a beechwood frame and legs. A dense, resistant wood by nature.
Our craftsmen reproduce the ancestral gestures by applying the traditional upholsterer’s nails to the back of the backrest. This finish enhances the vintage charm of this model and increases its durability. A piped finish is also available as an option. Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is less steep, which makes it easier to get up.
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
